    Robert O. “Robbie” Starich, age 82, of 1809 S. 13th St. passed away on Thursday evening, September 16, 2010 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with his loving family and friends beside him. Robbie was born on April 1, 1928 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Anton and Marie (Biwan) Starich. He attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served stateside following World War II. Upon his discharge from the service he attended Marquette University. On March 11, 1950 he was united in marriage to Nancy Hahn. Robbie was a control Operator for the Wisconsin Electric Power Plant in Port Washington. Robbie spent 22 years of happy and healthy retirement. He very much enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed football pools and bowling along with the Friday nite fish frys at Scenic Bar. In the 1960’s he played softball on Zieggy’s championship softball teams. Robbie was a member of Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and a charter member of the HI-HO Club.


    Robbie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy; his children, Carol (Randy) Craven of South Carolina, Mark (Rose) Starich of Sheboygan, Jerome (Jill) Starich of Sheboygan, David (Jeri) Starich of Green Bay, Nanette (Tom) Osmer of Sheboygan and Robert “Boober” (Karen) Starich, Jr. of Sheboygan; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildlren and a sister Lorry (Jim) Skelton of Three Lakes. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives further survive. Robbie was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Michael, a great-grandson, Jordin, a brother Donald and two sisters Lucille and Ginny.


    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11 AM, Monday, September 20 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Dineen as the celebrant. Burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends visited on Sunday evening from 4 PM until 8PM at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12 St. and at the church, 822 New Jersey Ave. on Monday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM.


    Robbies family would like to especially thank Jenny and Heather of the ICU unit at Aurora Sheboygan Medical Center for the care and comfort given to him.
