Teresa A. Wiegand, 59, of Sheboygan passed away quietly at home surrounded by loved ones after a long illness. She was born on April 27, 1959 in Plymouth, WI to Robert and Marilyn Wiegand (Merrill). Teresa graduated from Sheboygan South High School and began working as a CNA both privately and for Sunny Ridge Nursing Facility. She then began working at local manufacturing companies, including Bemis, Polyfab, and finally Pentair.
In 1981, she joined Edward Zimbal in holy matrimony at St. Clement Catholic Church in Sheboygan. She later married Jose (Henry) Gamez in 1992. Teresa enjoyed crocheting, watching movies, and spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren Xavier, Lexi, and Bennett. She also had a joy of traveling with her youngest son to discover new foods, especially sweet treats of Door County. HGTV was her loved channel besides when the Green Bay Packers were playing and would get quite excited during games.
Teresa is survived by her children Jacob (Cassie) Wiegand of Oviedo Florida, Melissa Zimbal of Sheboygan, and John Zimbal of Sheboygan. Her brothers Thomas (Linda) Wiegand of Sheboygan and Glen (Millie) Wiegand of Cobleskill, NY. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Xavier and Bennett Wiegand and Alexia (Lexi) Orosco and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Service with Deacon Rich Gulig at 8:00 p.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, WI. Teresa’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Sheboygan Progressive Health Services, Sharon S. Richardson Hospice, and Sheboygan Aurora Memorial Hospital.
