    DuWayne "Wayne" Siefert

    DuWayne “Wayne” Siefert, age 87, of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.  He was born in Sheboygan on February 19, 1931 the son of the late Milton and Alice Eisold Siefert. 

    Wayne attended local schools and was a 1950 graduate of Sheboygan North High School.  He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving his country from 1951-1955.  On April 14, 1951 Wayne was united in marriage to Marjorie Carpenter at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. 

    He was a tool and die maker and had his own business “L & S Machine Shop” from 1963 to 1972.  Wayne then was employed at Optenburg and Thomas Industries until his retirement in 1996.  He was a member of VFW Post 9156 and the Sheboygan Softball Association.  Wayne was also a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and was an usher, volunteer with the food pantry and was part of the Lutheran Brotherhood Communicator.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing and baseball.  Wayne enjoyed coaching his children’s games and sports and attended his grandchildren’s sporting events. 

    Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, of Sheboygan; three sons, Steven (Paula) Siefert, of Sheboygan, Randy Siefert, of Manitowoc, David (Candy) Siefert, of Sheboygan; grandchildren, Michelle (Ron) Davidson, Shaun Siefert, Courtney (Peter) Bartzen, Matthew (Jamie) Siefert, Mystie Woods; great-grandchildren, Oliver Bartzen, Spencer Davidson and Zoie Woods; a sister, Patricia (Robert) Dotz, and two sisters-in-law, Joanne Bartzen and Faye Entringer, all of Sheboygan.  Wayne is further survived by other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Buddy and an infant sister, Sandra; a daughter-in-law, Michele Siefert, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Helen Carpenter, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Huibregtse; and three brothers-in-law, Roland Huibregste, Guy Entringer and Clem Bartzen.

    A memorial service for Wayne will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 917 Mead Ave., Sheboygan with Rev. Robert Steele officiating.  Family and friends may gather at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will take place at the Lutheran Cemetery. 

    In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
