Died on Mar 01, 2018 and resided in Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Wayne R. Bramstedt, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away at home on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Wayne was born to Dolores (Beeck) and the late Victor Bramstedt on February 16, 1937 in the Town of Herman. He attended Sheboygan Area Schools. On April 13, 1957 Wayne was united in marriage to Patricia A. Heimer. Wayne served his country in the Army Reserves from June of 1955 until June of 1963. He was employed at Jung Shoe Co., American Hydraulics and a cheese factory but worked the longest, 44 years, as an assembler at Mercury Marine. Wayne’s passion was fishing, hunting small game, waterfowl and deer which he instilled in his sons. He enjoyed deer camp with friends for many years, and the occasional fishing trips up north and to Canada with relatives and friends. He also enjoyed watching the Packers and auto races on TV and at the track in Plymouth. Wayne was always a helpful neighbor, lending a hand with building projects and landscaping. Historical documentaries and discovery adventures were his favorite TV shows when his health slowed him down. For food nothing could compete against a good old Sheboygan fry-out and dessert. He had a special place in his heart for his poodles, spoiling them all with attention and treats.
Wayne will be missed by family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his mother, Dolores; son, David (Victoria) Bramstedt; Dan’s friend, Bree Polzin; grandchildren, Thomas Cook, Vanessa Bramstedt and Nate Bramstedt, Nicole Bramstedt (Calvin Thomas), Daniel (Sheena) Bramstedt Jr., Dustin Bramstedt; great-grandchildren, Brandi Bramstedt, Jada Thomas, Shaylin, Dominic and Alex Bramstedt; brother, Jeff (Sue Horneck) Bramstedt; sisters, Karen (Mark) Wickesburg, Sharen (Steve) Backhaus, Mary (Mike) Heilberger, Joyce (Tom) Herr, Joann (Dan) Eirich and Debbie (Terry) Horn as well as other nieces and nephews.
