Barbara Metzner, age 80, of Sheboygan passed away Monday afternoon, January 29, 2018. Barbara was born July 6, 1937 to the late Joseph and Alvina (Meyer) Haindl in Sheboygan. Barbara married Theodore “Teddy” Metzner on June 13, 1970 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan; he preceded her in death December 30, 2017. Barbara was a caregiver to her family. Providing many years of care for her son Joey, her parents in their later years, and most recently to her husband Teddy. Barbara enjoyed spending time and going on cruises with her best friend Peggy VerVelde.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Carrie (David) Stuckmann of Sheboygan and Nancy (Bill) Stolzmann of Sheboygan Falls, grandchildren: Joel (Cathleen) Kiefer II, Travis (Alexandra Moltzan) Huhn, Arianna Huhn, Michael Huhn, Harrison Stuckmann, Haley Stuckmann, Jason Uttech, Cory (Alissa) Uttech, Eric (Kristyn Justinger) Uttech, Taylor (Jessica Dittrich) Uttech, Billy (Lesley Nicholas) Stolzmann, Christopher (Pakue) Stolzmann great-grandchildren: Grace, Jack, Olivia Kiefer, Annabelle, Julia and Finley Uttech, Autumn Uttech, Maya Uttech and Jackson Klitzka, and Landon, Sophia and Charles Stolzmann.
Barbara was also survived by her Shih Tzu, Lily.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Joey, and a granddaughter Madeleine Rose Huhn.
Family and friends may call at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave. Sheboygan on Saturday Feb. 3, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Fr. Matthew J. Widder officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
Barbara’s family wishes to thank the staff at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center as well as the staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for the wonderful care that was given to Barbara.
