    Theodore "Teddy" Metzner

    Theodore “Teddy” Metzner, age 69, of Sheboygan passed away late Saturday afternoon, December 30, 2017.  Teddy was born to the late Arthur and Helen Metzner on February 7, 1948 in Sheboygan.  He was united in marriage to the former Barbara Haindl on June 13, 1970 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.  Teddy proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War; he was a member of VFW Post #9156.  Teddy was employed as a general manager at Kriete Truck Center in Fond du Lac for years; he retired February 28 2014.

    Teddy is survived by his loving wife Barbara, daughters Carrie (David) Stuckmann of Sheboygan and Nancy (Bill) Stolzmann of Sheboygan Falls grandchildren: Joel (Cathleen) Kiefer II, Travis Huhn, Arianna Huhn, Michael Huhn, Harrison Stuckmann, Haley Stuckmann, Jason Uttech, Cory (Alissa), Eric (Kristyn Justinger) Uttech, Taylor (Jessica Dettrick), Billy (Leslie Nicholas) Stolzmann, Christopher (Pakuc) Stolzmann great-grandchildren: Grace, Jack, Olivia Kiefer, Anabelle, Julia and Finley Uttech, Autumn Uttech, Maya and Jackson Uttech, and Landon, Sophia and Charles Stolzmann, brother Richard (Gloria) Metzner nieces and nephews: Helen (Steve) Timm, Perri (Becky) Reinke, Mary Jo (Dale) Guenther, Steve Metzner and friend of over 50 years Louie Vaicaro, who he knew from Vietnam.  Teddy was also survived by his shih tzu, Lily.

    Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, son Joey Michael Metzner, sister and brother-in-law Ruth and David Reinke, his in-laws Alvina and Joseph Haindl and a granddaughter Madeleine Rose Huhn.

    Family and friends may call at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Ave. Sheboygan on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 9-11 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at the church with Fr. Matthew Widder officiating.

    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for the Wounded Warriors Project.

     

    Teddy’s family wishes to thank the staff at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center as well as the staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center, especially Kaylee and Richard.
