Susan was born on February 15, 1944 in Wausau, Wisconsin to William and Lottie Jaecks. She graduated in 1962 from Neuman High School. In 1963, Susan married Dale Poeske and moved to Plymouth, WI, where she had four children and lived for 25 years. Susan remarried in 1993 to the love of her life, George Heaney and lived in Sheboygan, WI, where she remained until her unexpected passing at home, on October 30,2017.

Susan attended First United Lutheran Church where she devoted herself to her Faith and it showed in everything she did. During her lifetime, Susan worked in daycare, helping children with love and patience. She spent the majority of her time being a Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Family meant the world to her. She attended school concerts, dance recitals, plays and anything her family was involved in. She especially loved celebrating holidays and life surrounded by her family. Susan was active in the Local VFW 9156 Auxiliary, Sheboygan, where she was a lifetime member and volunteered her time. She enjoyed spending her time with George going to movies, vacations, the fair and even grocery shopping. The two were inseparable. We Love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, George Heaney. Her children, Daun Musch (Terry Brandt), Denise Mauer (Lorenz Kutz), Dale Jr. (Irinna) Poeske, and Dick Poeske. Step-children, Paul Heaney and Anthony Heaney. Grandchildren, Taylor Musch (Orion Vincent), Paige Mauer (Cory Henniges), Jazmine Poeske (Thomas Roethel), Emily Mauer (Jon McGibbon), Dylan Poeske and Thiago Poeske. Step-Grandchildren, Tyler Heaney and George Heaney. Great-Grandchildren, Arianna Musch and Xander Vincent. Siblings, Ralph Jaecks, Charlene Byrne, Sandra Kordiyak and William Jaecks. Many other nieces, nephews, friends, family and children she loved over the years. Last but not least, her cat Shiva. Susan was predeceased by her father, William Jaecks, mother, Lottie Szalewski, brothers, David Jaecks, Robert Jaecks, nephew, Tom Jaecks, and her first husband, Dale Poeske, and her two faithful cats, Tigerlilly and Mitzue.

Relatives and Friends may greet the family on Monday, November 6, 2017 at
Chapel of Eternal Light, Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave, Kohler, WI from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Todd Smith officiating.
