Janice C. Brown, age 76, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2017 after a brief stay at Sharon Richardson Hospice.
Janice was born March 7, 1941 to Clyde and Henrietta Post Sr. She attended Sheboygan schools graduating from Central High School in 1959. On June 3, 1961 she married Roger L. Brown, he preceded her in death on September 6, 2002. Janice was employed at various local businesses which included Mayline, Lakeland Manufacturing, Pick-N-Save and most recently Aurora Healthcare until her retirement. Janice's favorite pastimes included many years of being the #1 softball fan of her husband Roger and son Jim. She was also a very good miniature bowler achieving several 300 games. Janice was a wonderful puzzle solver, jigsaw and crossword puzzles were her favorites as well as computer brain games. She enjoyed reading and listening to classic country music. Janice will always be remembered for her love of shelties, especially her companions Laddie and Bud. Janice was a kind and gentle person who always put others needs before her own. Her strong faith in Jesus and love of family meant everything to her. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who meant the world to her. God truly gave us the best he had and we will all miss her dearly until we see her again in heaven.
Janice is survived by two children, her daughter Barbara (John) Klopf and son James (Tara) Brown; four grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Klopf, Megan (Adam) Deehr, Katie (Chris) Rammer and Rebecca Brown (special friend Ryan Brion); her life’s little blessings three great grandchildren, Chloe Klopf, Roman Rammer and Jason Brion "Love you GGma"! Janice is further survived by one sister, Jean (Shorty) Maxwell; brothers, James (Mary) Post and Tom (Annie) Post as well as sisters-in-law, Diane Post and Judy Post and many nieces and nephews.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; brothers, Clyde Post Jr. and Robert Post and a great-granddaughter, Claire Deehr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Adam Barkley of Luther Memorial Church officiating. Entombment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in her name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. Mark Bettag's office, Meadowview Manor and Sharon Richardson Hospice for the kindness and compassion given to their loved one.
