    Bernice Aleff was born on February 6, 1925 and passed away on September 15, 2017 at the age of 92.  She attended local schools and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1943.  Bernice was united in marriage with Donald Aleff at the St. Cyril and Methodius Rectory on February 5, 1949.  During her working years she was employed by the Phoenix Chair Company in the sales department and later by Prange’s as a sales clerk.  Bernice was a master gardener and a former member of the Lakeshore Garden Club.  She was also a member of the Town and Country Homemakers Club, a charter member of the Sheboygan County Quilters Guild where they made quilts and donated them to church and hospitals.  Bernice volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Bank, Girl Scouts, Immaculate Conception Missions Ladies, St. Vincent de Paul, Maywood, and Sheboygan County Historical Society Museum.  More than anything, Bernice loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Bernice is survived by her children, Cynthia (Jeremiah) Busch, Rebecca Aleff, and Gregory (Julie) Aleff; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica) Busch, Karen (Frank) Bittner, Benjamin and Katie Aleff and great-grandchildren, Hudsyn and Suttyn Busch and Maxwell and Evelyn Bittner.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Bernice is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Henry and Francis Bolf; 7 sisters and 2 brothers.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1305 Humboldt Ave., Sheboygan, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.  Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave., Sheboygan, at 3:00 p.m.  A memorial fund has been established in Bernice’s name.

    The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Christian Home and St. Nicholas Hospice for their care of Bernice.
