    Winona R. Flores, age 91, of Sheboygan, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Meadow View Manor Nursing Home in Sheboygan.  She was born in Sheboygan on June 9, 1925, the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Anna Eichstaedt.

    Winona was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she was confirmed in 1939.  In that same year she graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School.  When her own children attended Immanuel she was active in the PTL and served numerous times as a room mother.  In later years she was part of a Braille Group that printed and assembled books of the Bible in Braille.

    After leaving high school, she worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, and later at Ross Glove Company.  She enjoyed doing crossword and word search puzzles as well as making latch hook rug hangings.  While at Meadow View she enjoyed the lively games of BINGO.  She would even admit to being a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

    On December 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Guillermo Flores.  In 1974 Winona and Guillermo renewed their wedding vows at Immanuel.  They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in December of 2012.  Guillermo preceded her in death in 2013.

    Survivors include two children, Ricardo (Barbara) Flores, of Imperial, MO and Linda Flores of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Abigail (Alan) Caruso, of Pevely, MO, Ricardo (Bailey) Flores of DeSoto, MO, Esther (Chris) Marz of St. Louis, MO, Celia Flores of St. Louis, MO; seven great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Elliana and Everlyse Caruso; Cora, Brianna, Nyah and Winona Flores; nieces Katie McCabe and Mary Eichstaedt.  In addition to her husband and parents, Winona was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie; five sisters, Lydia, Hilda, Elvira, Amanda and Lavina; and six brothers, Elmer, William, Harvey, Arno, Henry and Marvin.

    A funeral service for Winona will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 South 12th Street in Sheboygan.  Visitation will also be at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.  Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
