    Died on Mar 20, 2017 and resided in Sheboygan, Wisconsin

    Larry C. Thompson, age 76, of Sheboygan, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Sheboygan Progressive Care Center.  He was born in South Milwaukee on June 26, 1940, the son of the late Clinton O. and Ruth F. Krueger Thompson. 

    Larry attended local schools in Mayville, WI and graduated from Mayville High School.  He furthered his education at Valparaiso University in Indiana.  After graduation, Larry met Corinne R. Mott, the love of his life, while working at Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, WI.  Larry and Corinne were married on May 16, 1970 in Minneapolis, MN.  Corinne preceded Larry in death on March 13, 2016.  During their time in Watertown Larry and Corinne served as foster parents for 10 children.

    In 1987 Larry decided to return to school, he attended Milwaukee Area Technical College and graduated with a degree in Mortuary Science.  After being a funeral director in Watertown and Waterloo, WI, Larry and Corinne relocated to Sheboygan were in 1992 he took a position at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home until 2005.  Larry then assisted other local funeral homes until his retirement.    Larry was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.  He was a past President of Trinity Lutheran, a member of the choir and many other various positions at church.

    Survivors include his two children, Brad (Amy) Thompson, of Milwaukee, Lisa (Lawrence) Adams, of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, Julia and Jessica Thompson and Kalea, Bryn, Sophie and Claire Adams; a sister, Karen (Pete) Hansen, of Fox Lake, IL; a brother, Gregg (Lynda) Thompson, of Rosemount, MN and a sister-in-law, Paula (Bruce) Becker, of St. Paul, MN.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents and wife. 

    A service of celebration for Larry’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave., Sheboygan with Rev. Timothy Mech and Rev. Christopher Seifferlein officiating. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler on Monday at 10:00 a.m.     

    Larry’s family would like to thank the staff at Aurora, Sheboygan Progressive Care Center and the Sheboygan Paramedics and Fire Department for all the help and compassion that was given to him.
