Elaine Morrell, age 91, of Sheboygan passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017. Elaine was born June 7, 1925 in Manitowoc, WI to the late Michael and Ella (Sladky) Lutz. Elaine attended St. Paul’s Catholic Elementary School in Manitowoc and then graduated from Lincoln High School. She then furthered her education at Northwest Institute of Technology in Minneapolis. Elaine was united in marriage to Robert Timm at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Manitowoc; he preceded her in death November 3, 1984. Elaine then married George Morrell on June 2, 1990 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church; he preceded her in death on October 3, 2010. In her earlier years, Elaine enjoyed alteration sewing and ceramics. Elaine did considerable detail work on ceramic for others and was often called “The Eye Lady”. She enjoyed her small family, the friendship of many and never met anyone who was not of interest to her. Elaine was a member of the Catholic Women’s Charity Club and the VFW #9156 Ladies Auxiliary. She was employed as a lab tech at the Union Hospital in New Ulm, MN, Plymouth Hospital, and the old St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.
Elaine is survived by her son Robert Timm, and wife Kim, of Evergreen, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a brother, William Lutz.
Family and friends may gather at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1439 S. 12th Street, Sheboygan on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 from 2-3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Thursday at the church with Fr. Richard Cerpich officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
