Janet M. Laux, age 67, an earth angel, was welcomed into the arms of her heavenly angels, on Sunday, August 8, 2010, following a brief illness. Janet was born on August 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Eugene P. Weber and Norma (Miller) Weber. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1961. For over thirty years, Janet was a staff accountant for Gerald Van De Kreeke. She was his first employee when Mr. Van De Kreeke acquired the business in 1975. Janet valued the time she worked there, stating with pride, “I have the best boss and co-workers in the world”. She retired in 2005. Janet married Jerome Laux on August 5, 1974 in Baltimore, Maryland. They lived most of their married life at 1244 Castle Avenue. Together they worked hard to renovate and improve their lovely home.

Janet is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jerome, a stepdaughter Kelly J. Halbach, brothers, Gary (Penny) Weber, Rick (Pamala) Weber, Gene D. (Dana) Weber, her sisters, Kathy (Timothy) Stockinger and Cindy (Joseph) Berger. She is also survived by her mischievous cat, Kisha, whom she adored. Additional survivors include her special Aunt, Ethel Miller, brothers-in-law, Richard (Tama) Laux, and Gary (Joanne) Laux, and various nieces and nephews.

Heaven acquired a loyal cheerleader. Janet was an avid Packer fan, especially during the Lombardi years. She cheered after each touchdown and jumped for joy after every victory. Showtunes were her favorites. She knew the words to all the songs from the shows, spontaneously singing them. Janet will be remembered as a kind soul with a big heart.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law, Milford and Caroline Laux, and an uncle, Lyle Miller.
